Vayikra 25:49

“Or his uncle, or his uncle’s son, shall redeem him”

The initial and final letters of these words [in Hebrew] have the numerical value (Gematria) of 80 (the letter Pei). The intention is that through the study of our Holy Torah—which is expressed through the 22 letters, and specifically the Oral Torah [represented by the mouth/Pei]—the Children of Israel will be redeemed.

This is as the Sages, of blessed memory, said (Vayikra Rabbah 7:3) regarding the verse (Hosea 8:10): “Even if they ‘give’ [study] among the nations, now I will gather them”—meaning that in the merit of the study of Mishnah, the exiles are gathered.
