Shemos 39:40

“…Its pillars…”

See the Ba’al HaTurim on the Masorah here, and additionally: “Earth and all its inhabitants dissolve; it is I who keep its pillars firm. Selah” (Tehillim 75:4), “Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn her seven pillars” (Mishlei 9:1), Who shakes the earth from its place, Till its pillars quake” (Job 9:6).

There is a hint in the Masorah to be explained according to what the commentators wrote (see the Rema in the beginning of his commentary on Tractate Avot), to show that even the good traits of a Jewish person must be based on the Torah.

The intention here is that if the three good traits—Justice, Truth, and Peace—are based on our Holy Torah, which is “I” (Anochi) of the Ten Commandments, then “I established its pillars” to be a dwelling place for God.

However, if they are based on “She has hewn its pillars” according to the wisdom of the philosophers and human intellect, then “its pillars shall shudder,” for they have no lasting existence.
